General Information: The date is now set and planning underway for the second annual Bay Area Rifle Championship. This year we are preparing a fun and challenging rifle shooting test that can be enjoyed with just about any repeating rifle you own. We are working towards USPSA recognition for this event. To that end we have made a few changes to Division and Category Rules to bring those fully in line with USPSA rules. More information on this development real soon now!

All three of the regular USPSA Semi-Auto Rifle divisions will be recognized (Open, Tactical & Standard) along with Manual Action divisions (Standard & Open) where you will be able to compete with Cowboy style lever action rifles (Standard) & bolt action hunting rifles , MOR/sniper type rifles (Open).

The 2007 BARC will feature 9 stages with engagement distances ranging from 2 to 210 yards. The match design style will be based on World IPSC recommendations and will feature a balanced mix of speedshoots, medium field courses and long field courses. Expect that your ability to place accurate shots on targets at varied distances, very, very quickly will be thoroughly tested.

Here are some late breaking news items concerning the 2007 Bay Area Rifle Championship:
3 slots have become available: If you have not already registered and were thinking of doing so, you now have a second chance! As of 4/23/07 we have received 3 last minute cancellations and these slots are now available. Use the registration form link at the bottom of the page to grab a slot and show up at 7am on match day ready to shoot (Sunday, April 29th).

Match Fee Refunds: If you have registered and made your match fee payment but find you will be unable to attend, fear not, for we have put a refund policy in place that will cover you should this happen.
Here is our refund policy for the 2007 BARC:
All cancellations for any reason whatsoever received prior to April 1st will get a full refund. After April 1, but before April 11, cancellation will get you a refund with a $20 admin fee subtracted, still no questions asked. After April 10, no refunds will be given unless you have a pretty darned’ good reason (plead your case and if it is a compelling reason, you "will" get a refund).
Waiting List: Once the match is full with registered competitors, any additional registrations received will go on a waiting list in the order received.
Here is our wait list policy for the 2007 BARC:
The waiting list will be in order of registration receipt (web form registrations by server time stamp, mail-in’s by postmark time/date). To remain on the waiting list after April 1st, your match fee payment must be made. Once the 10th of April passes, anyone who has registered prior to the match filling up but has not yet paid their match fee will be dropped from the match (warning notices will be sent prior to mid-March and April 1st). The waiting list will then fill in the new slots in order.
Match Fee Payment Note: Remember, your registration submission DOES NOT confirm your entry in the 2007 BARC. ONLY your match fee payment having been received and cleared will do that (payment details can be found at the link below). Because the entry fee goes up to $65 on April 1, your payment must be received prior to this date for you to be eligible for the reduced match fee of $45 (no matter when you submitted your registration).
