UPDATE 4-14-06: Stages are now posted: 2006 BARC Stages
This will be the first time an IPSC Rifle Championship Match has been held by the Richmond Hotshots for over a decade. The first IPSC match I ever shot at Richmond was the yearly IPSC Rifle Championship match in December 1988. The match was an annual event at that time but was dropped for lack of interest in the early 90's. The 2006 BARC is intended to re-establish that tradition.
To that end we are preparing a fun and challenging test of your rifle shooting skills. The IPSC Classic target (Turtle) will be utilized as the standard paper target on all stages. Specialty targets will include MGM Rifle Flash targets and other approved steel.
The match will feature 7 stages and engagement distances from 2-220 yards. The stage design style is based on World IPSC standards and will feature a balanced mix of standards, speedshoots and medium to long field courses. Expect that your ability to place accurate shots on targets at any distance very, very quickly will be thoroughly tested
The BARC will be run under USPSA rules and will follow the 2004 USPSA Rifle Final rulebook. Scoring will be done via EZ-Winscore and power factor will be observed. We will have a chrono present and will resort to it if required ;-)
All three USPSA Multigun divisions will be recognized (Open, Tactical & Limited). There is no recognition of the HM sub-division as power factor will be recognized which makes a separate big bore sub-division moot.
Match fee will be $40 for competitors registering on the day of the match and $30 for competitors who pre-register and present a copy of their confirmation email at sign-up on match day. Use the following link to pre-register.
